A family we are good friends with moved about 3 days before we did. So to help them out (we couldn't really have the kids to OUR house, we were in the same situation they were - no toys!) we took the kids to the zoo. We had fun, but it was sad in a way - it was the last time we were all going to be to the zoo before we moved. So the kids all wanted to see everything! We did pretty well - we saw most of the animals and played at the play ground. What more could a kid want?
The day we actually went to the zoo was a Tuesday night. On Tuesdays at the zoo, they are open until 8:00 pm instead of the normal 5:00 pm. They call it Twilight Tuesdays. I have to say that it was probably the best time for us to go to the zoo - it wasn't busy, the temperature was cooling off, and (the best part) the animals were actually up and moving around!!! (I know, it's a miracle!!) So we really did get to see most of the animals!

The tiger exhibit opened just before we moved - this is one of the male tigers. We were glad we caught this exhibit, they did a GREAT job on it!
