Happy New Year!!

Our favorites from 2014:

B: Watching "Wild Wild Kratts"

E: Playing "The Farming Game Kids"

O: Going to Lagoon Amusement Park for the first time and getting baptized. And I'm happy we got the new kitties

K: Helping the Enoch cousins move so now they are the Tooele cousins and going to Lagoon for the first time

S: Starting middle school

A: Going to Lagoon for the first time (but getting braces was on her worst list!)

The Hubby: Starting a new job

Me: Spending time with all the family we have. Also celebrating the life of The Hubby's grand parents as they passed away this last February and celebrating the life of my wonderful uncle who passed away unexpectedly last January.

We had a great year!! I saw on Pinterest a "memories jar" type thing where you keep track of the good things that happen over the year and then on New Year's reading the things to laugh and remember the good times that have happened. It didn't work as well as I thought it would. I was pretty much the only person that ever wrote anything in it! I thought for sure my girls would get excited and write about everything!! Here are the things from the jar:

1-10-14 - As we are eating Navajo Tacos, B is picking out JUST the beans to eat. O (who HATES beans has to have as many as she is old) says "That's the bad part about getting bigger...you have to eat more beans."

Jan 13, 2014 (by K) - was the first time sitting in the hot tub for the year.

2-2-14 (By A) - Today was the Superbowl. Right before it started, a stray piece of paper towel landed on a lit burner and caught on fire. After several unsuccessful attempts to blow it out, they eventually got it to peter out. (No food or paper plates were harmed in the process.)

Feb 23, 2014 (by S) - We switched beds. A had to think about it for a while.

6-9-14 (written after we went camping....the Hubby left a Dr. Pepper in the trailer freezer and turned the freezer on. He forgot about the Dr. Pepper.) Instructions given by experience. Step 1. Place desired soda in freezer. (Preferably Dr. Pepper) Step 2. Leave overnight. Step 3. Enjoy the mess! Warning: Explosion my occur.

6-14-14 (by K) - On a Saturday we played a hide and seek game with Dad. He would hide and when we would find him he would roar and we would scream and run away.

July 23-26 - Smith Reunion; swimming, Spiral Jetty, Golden Spike National Monument, playing in the Great Salt Lake, visiting with family, waterslide in the dark at Crystal Hot Springs

August 5, 2014 - seeing the inside of the [remodeled] Ogden Temple. Was a great day.

9-13-14 - Ticket stubs for Lagoon Amusement Park

10-11-14 - Ticket stubs for Rocky Mountain Band Festival where we went and cheered on my niece who marches in the Tooele Marching Band

I'm going to try this again this year to see if anyone writes more. Even though we only had a few things, it IS sure fun to look back and see what happened!!
