Things we love (at least this week):

We did a lot of stuff we love this week. We love:

- the fact that I have now been married to my best friend for 12 years. Happy Anniversary, hubby!!

- that hubby forgot that it was our anniversary until my little sister Slack said something to him.

- that the anniversary card I "gave" my husband was the anniversary card from his WORK anniversary, but not OUR anniversary. I thought he would get a kick out of seeing it. (It said a big Happy Anniversary on the front of it. I gave it to him. He thought it was a nice note from me. He was very disappointed to open it and see it was from his boss.)

- being able to have a fire in our backyard. And cooking tin foil dinners in that fire. And even better ---- S'mores.

- having family over to enjoy said fire, dinner, and s'mores.

- watching movies outside. We have a projector for the summer. And we're planning on a lot of movies outside on the big screen.

- hikes with our cousins. Although, we didn't necessarily love the hail storm that caught us about 1/2 way through the hike. But we did love the hot cocoa that Aunt Gordon made us after we got back to her house. And her fireplace that turns on with a switch to help us get warm and dry.
- Feeding the ducks while hiking. E really loved the ducks. She kept trying to get out of her stroller so she could see them better.
- Living so close to so many cousins and that they are wiling to go on "adventures" with us in the bad weather.

- That dad is handy enough to make stuff for our animals. The chickens love their new chicken tractor. (and E, A and S love it, too.)

- Chocolate Peanut butter Bugles. Don't start - they are addicting. And E won't share if you give her the whole bag.

- To drive by a new temple that is being built just 20 minutes from our house.

But the number 1 thing we loved this week is that we had friends from Wichita willing to take a day out of their vacation to come and hang out with us! We met 1/2 way - in Riverdale at a park. Except it was cold and windy. So we ate, let the kids play for a few minutes at the splash pad (which they loved until the wind would blow and then it was too cold). Then we went just a few miles farther south to the Hill Aerospace Museum (which is truly one of our families favorite places to go). We had so much fun. I read on a friend's facebook status that you know it's a good friend when you haven't spoken for months and you get together with them and it seems like you haven't been apart for even an hour. That's how we were with these friends. We had a stupendous time with them. Thanks for visiting!!!
