Last Sunday after church we drove to Ogden to visit some friends. One of our friends is getting ready to move (or has moved?) to Southern Utah, so they were having an open-house goodbye party for them. We haven't seen most of them since moving from Ogden 3 years ago, so we decided we'd better go and see everyone. The kids walked up to the door first, and confused EVERYONE! They all said, "wait, that looks like the Smith girls. They don't live here!" They didn't know we moved back from Kansas, let alone knew the event was going on. It was fun to see everyone after this long! Then we went to my brother's house and visited them for a few minutes. It was a fun night. And the snow we were supposed to get didn't come. So the drive wasn't bad at all.
None of the snow we were supposed to get came. We were really disappointed. We were hoping to be able to go sledding on Monday because everyone was off (including the hubby from work!). But we have NO snow. At all. Except the piles of gunk from the street/driveway. Nothing I'd want to go play in!! So instead, we went to one of my sister's church house and played basketball. Okay, I'll admit it. I sat in the nursery with the kids and the prego sister while the others played. But it was fun! Then we went to my parents and had a cook out. Yes. A cook out in January. That doesn't happen very often! But the burgers were delicious!
The rest of the week passed. Nothing sticks out in my head of things that we did. School was hard because I never knew what day it was. We had cleaning day yesterday and as a reward we bought Despicable Me. We are a bit behind in movies this year. It's too hard to go with little ones who don't like to sit and watch movies. It's a pretty funny show! We had fun watching it and eating popcorn. Hopefully we'll have another quiet week this week!
